Here we are at the Igloo forest station. This is one of the first stations and is one of the road monitoring stations. We're collecting soil moisture and soil temperature data here to estimate road strength in the spring time. The big bar has a snow depth sensor on it so we can find out how much snow there is on the road before the snow removal crews get there.
