So, with the truck unstuck it was off to the glacier. This bridge was put in by the army and the USGS. The USGS has a gaging station just below the glacier here and apparently it was dangerous trying to ford this river back in the olden days so they put in a bridge. As you can see Bergey is petrified but it was a nice owner-dog trust building exercise as we made it across without incident. You may notice the custom black tape on my right leg. I dont't recommend this for everyone but if you split your pants you may be able to win yourself a few more miles out of the pants by holding them together with electrical tape. One word of warning though, be more careful about bending the knees. By the end of the trip they were split from the top of the zipper to the knee. Crazy!
