Here we are near the top of the pass between Rainbow Ridge and another mountain. The pass elevation is about 4500 feet. Even that high up Bergey was running loose from one side of the pass to the other and several hundred feet up on either side. It was entertaining watching her chase snow and rocks and drag sticks up from who knows where. I think it's a pretty safe guess that she had a good time. At this point we've given up on hiking in the snow. It was almost all post-holing. There's still quite a bit of snow here even in mid June. So, the smart move, once we're were able was to hike up to the side slope and kind of side-hill it until we made it to the valley.
