I ended up stopping on that next bump on the right side of the picture. That was where I was planning to camp out with Bergey but there was a big ol brownie bear hanging out over there. It was blowing about 30 or 40 sideways across the ridge so he couldn't smell us or even probably see us since we were kind of in the sun but I figured it was time to turn around and hike further below. Well, then I got to hiking and then I got to thinking the wind was blowing really hard and putting up the tent sure would be a chore so maybe I'd just hike back to the truck and sleep in the back. Back at the truck I got even lazier and didn't feel like moving the junk in the back out so, since it was still early in the evening I thought I'd be able to pull off heading back to Fairbanks a bit early.
