This is where the hike started. Gary and I headed up to this glacier over labor day weekend, 2002. I thought this area looked neat and had lots of potential for hiking when Mike, Matt, and I drove back from finishing up in Prince William Sound, the second trip. So, when labor day weekend came I decided I needed a break and dragged Gary along with me to see one of the glaciers in the Alaska range only instead of the Denali Park side of it the Paxson side of it on the Richardson highway. This spot here is about 60 miles down the road from Delta Junction, only 150 from Fairbanks.
