This past weekend Colleen, GW's Texas employee who's up for the summer and I headed back to the Glacier Lake trail. A couple weeks earlier I'd attempted it but was stymied by a deep creek. So, after creating a new type of boot we headed back for a weekend of fun. The other reason for going was to get Bergey some good quality water time so that I can trick her into being a water dog... so maybe next year she can go down the Gulkana. So, here's the lake. The goal was to get to the mountains in the background which is where seven mile lake is but there was just a bit to much bushwhacking to accomplish that in the time we had so we settled for Glacier Lake. That okay because I had a hunch that would be the situation. The trail was quite pleasant, the first part is all four wheeler tracks and we met up with a few people who'd four-wheeled into the lake and were fishing. As for the boots...
