Letter to the Editor Part Deux: Success

Boy, the cold continues. Anchorage was nice in the positive single digits yesterday but it's back to the minus 20s and 30s here in Fairbanks. I was so cold when I got back last night into Fairbanks from the AWRA meeting. It's turning into a respectable cold snap. Had my last official day of NADP duty out at Caribou Poker Creeks today. Totally digging having the warm snow machine waiting out there in the garage.

...I wanted to hang on to this link for posterity. Former state representative Jeanette James got her feathers ruffled by last week's letter. Who knows how bothered she was but it was enough to be full of lots of thoughts and little organization. So, that's pretty cool. Tune in this February for the next installment.

Comments:
Interesting is it not? Ms James asserts that there is a natural division between liberal and conservative and concludes that debate is healthy. Yet admonishes you for partisan "word swords." Hmmm. Actually I thought it was a pretty logical and dare I say it, non-partisan objection to what has got any number of us fed up with this goat f-ck in Iraq. In truth many of my CONSERVATIVE friends refer to el presidente and his cronies as f-cking morons. Among other things. It's not just the liberals anymore. While much of the conservative right enjoys a good war from time to time, all those billions sliding down the tube has 'em squealing. Especially whith "read my lips, no new taxes!" and sundry variations thereof. Apparently a tax and spend politicion is the antichrist, but a "lets just spend it, LOTS of it whether we have it or not" politicion is OK. I'm having a bit of trouble following the logic. I'm gonna jump off my soap box now and go do some laundry. --AJ

"On Guard"... *swooshy sword sound*... she's pretty funny. You're right, I was trying to get across that regardless of ideology everyone should be mad and fed up with the jokers running the country into the ground. That's pretty much my running theme. I had another letter back in December that said pretty much the same thing and named good wholesome conservatives that had spoken out but it got lost in the pages because everybody was riled up about recruiters coming to the schools.

Some other guy chimed in, too a few days later but it wasn't as interesting:
Letters again

That's okay, I'll Don Quixote it up again in February once my 30 days between letters has passed.
