Dogs and more dogs...

Well, if you've been keeping up with Jill's blog (and you should be, it's good stuff) you know I've got a couple rescue dogs at the moment I'm trying to pawn off on other loving homes. Kind of a sad scene, some junior iditarod/yukon quest musher (16 years old) abandoned her team and left them to starve or some such thing. Well, several of the dogs were Midge's sisters. So, I took them in temporarily because it's pretty sad and Daphney was little Midgey's favorite sister. They're all pretty cute though and I almost have homes lined up!! Yeah, pretty excited about that. Here's a few cute dog photos:
Marais and Daphney, Midge's sisters:

Aren't they sweet. Just as sensitive and nice as Midge, too. They get a little healthier everyday whether self esteem and mental or their coats. Marais is still dreadfully skinny but their fur is quickly turning nice and shiny and they're finally wagging their tail (this morning's good development). The two Ms and Bergey are getting along pretty cool, too. Check out these ones from this week. So huggable.

That last one was from this morning. Cracked me up!

Comments:
Good on ya B. Man, few things get me as riled up as people that abuse/abandon their pets. Whew, I had to fight a real temptation to get up on a soap box there, but i suspect I'd be preaching to the choir so to speak...

Yeah it was like 30 dogs or something crazy like that. Totally sad deal but the dogs are finding homes and the girl's never racing again plus she's got some cruelty charges coming so hmmm.

Did you get my emails? I just sent you two quick ones and one awhile ago? I got one from you like a month ago and then this one today. If you sent more I missed em. The gist is that I've met this raging awesome girl Jessie (who's been putting in an appearance on here as of late as you noticed). Larry the boss man inadvertently hooked us up after we went on the first Seward Peninsula trip of the year together. So, we've been pretty crazy about each other ever since. Makes people sick to hang out with us I'm sure. But summer sure has been funner.

Cruelty charges? Brother I hope so. Glad the pooches are finding homes. On a slightly different note, I'm getting the giggles here, maybe you should compare notes with your sister on toilet training pets...oh wait that didn't work. Well back to the shovel man. Jessie must have an awesome sense of humor (or be really really mellow) Evenwhen we were kids I noticed that when people met you they either instantly liked you or ended upon the far side of the room with lots of furniture in between.

Yeah, and they're now officially placed! So, that was pretty cool. Mike and Elizabeth have taken them so I'll still get to see them and maybe Midge will still become friends again with her sisters...

Yeah, Jessie's pretty awesome. Got to chat today via the internet with her and some of her friends in England. That was pretty fun. This internet thinger sure is crazy!
